Jesus knew that Judas would betray Him, and that He would be crucified. The capstone of the crucifixion would be that the Father and Son would both be glorified. Jesus willingly gave himself to be crucified which graphically displayed his love, and commanded that the way we are to show the world that we are His disciples is by the love we are to show to one another.
