If we reflect on history from the perspective of Scripture we begin in Genesis. There we read about man's fall which separated man from God, and which brought about the miseries which have befallen mankind ever since. However, God had a plan to reconcile man to Himself and it culminated in the work of His Son. Our text turns the spotlight on God and His Son, and beckons us to respond in worship.
