John 11 & 12 present a magnificent narrative arc pointing to Christ as the conquering King who came to overthrow an enemy greater than Imperial Rome. It climaxes with the Triumphal Entry on Palm Sunday, but that is framed with references to death, Christ's authority over death, and the need to believe in him. Death will be conquered through the death of the Conqueror!
