When we contemplate man and God there are various words which may be used to describe aspects of that relationship: guilt, worship, accountability, awesomeness, holiness, sinfulness, love, adoration, etc. A rightful posture for man to have before God is that of "worship." Our text describes a worship that was deficient and how it was replaced by Christ's work so that we could together worship God.
